Jon Link PT, MPT, OCS, CSCS
Jon Link PT, MPT, OCS, CSCS is the owner and director of Ogle County Physical Therapy in Byron, IL. Jon is also the co-owner of the Orthopedic and Sports Therapy Institute (OSTI) and has served in this position since 2004. Jon recognized the need for physical therapy services in northern Ogle County, and Ogle County Physical Therapy opened its doors in April of 2003. He graduated in 1999 with his Master of Physical Therapy from Southwest Baptist University in Missouri.
Upon his graduation, Jon served as the clinic manager at McHenry County Physical Therapy from 2000-2003. In 2003, he passed his certification examination to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). In 2004, he passed his examination to become a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
At the time, Jon was 1 of 3 Orthopedic Clinical Specialists in the greater Rockford area and the only OCS in Ogle County. His areas of expertise include orthopedic, industrial, hand, and sports rehabilitation. He is also a certified clinician in Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization (ASTYM®) for treating tendonitis type conditions and fits individuals with custom orthotics for foot and ankle related disorders. In 2007, Jon and the staff at Ogle County Physical Therapy began offering Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) and Pre-employment screenings through WorkSTEPS®.
Angela Pfeiffer, PT, MPT
Angela Pfeiffer PT, MPT joined the staff at Ogle County Physical Therapy in the summer of 2004. She is a graduate of Northern Illinois University where she graduated with honors with a Master of Physical Therapy degree. Prior to working in Byron, she specialized in orthopedics working at Rochelle Community Hospital. Angela has experience in a variety of settings including acute care, subacute care, and orthopedics.
She has done clinicals at Sherman Rehabilitation, Swedish American Hospital, Rockford Clinic, Freeport Memorial Hospital, and Lundholm Physical Therapy. Her areas of expertise include orthopedic, industrial, geriatric, sports, and vestibular rehabilitation. She is also a certified clinician in Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization (ASTYM®) for treating tendonitis type conditions and fits individuals with custom orthotics for foot and ankle related disorders. Angela is currently taking classes to receive her doctorate degree in physical therapy.
Bridget Johnson, PT
Bridget Johnson PT joined Ogle County Physical Therapy in the fall of 2005 due to a growing need for physical therapy services in Northern Ogle County. She graduated in 1999 with her Bachelor of Physical Therapy from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. She graduated with high honors in her class and also obtained a minor in Gerontology. She has extensive experience treating a wide array of musculoskeletal disorders.
Her areas of expertise include orthopedic, industrial, geriatric, and sports rehabilitation. She is also a certified clinician in Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization (ASTYM®) for treating tendonitis type conditions and fits individuals with custom orthotics for foot and ankle related disorders. In addition, she is also a certified fitter for Juzo Compression stockings and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). In 2007, Bridget passed her examination to become a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Kim Girton, ATC, BS
Kim Girton ATC, BS joined the staff at Ogle County Physical Therapy in 2004. Kim attended college at Trinity International University and graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training. Kim has extensive experience in athletic training to her position at Ogle County Physical Therapy including work at the collegiate level. She is responsible for providing daily coverage to the athletes, evaluating and treating injured athletes, and also providing game coverage for Byron High School's extensive sporting event schedule.
She is also in charge of running the Ultimate Advantage Performance Enhancement Camp at Byron High School each summer. This camp is focused on improving the overall performance of an athlete in the areas of straight ahead speed, lateral speed, agility, vertical jump, and endurance. Kim also assists the staff at Ogle County Physical Therapy and is an active member of the National Athletic Training Association (NATA).
John Cain, ATC, BS, CSCS
John Cain, ATC, BS, CSCS joined the staff at Ogle County Physical Therapy in the fall of 2006. John is the full-time head athletic trainer at Oregon High School and has served in this position since 1990. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training in 1988 from Northern Illinois University and is currently working towards his Master of Science degree in athletic training from Illinois State University. John brings extensive experience to his position at Ogle County Physical Therapy including opportunities to work with the Montreal Expos and Olympic athletes in the past.
He recently completed training to administer pre-employment screenings through WorkSTEPS, due to the growing need for industrial rehabilitation in Ogle County. In the fall of 2006, he earned the distinction of a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is an active member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and also the National Athletic Training Association (NATA). John provides daily coverage to the athletes at Oregon High School and also provides game coverage for Oregon High School's extensive sporting event schedule.
